Overview

This collaborative project was created for a design competition hosted by SCMC (Santa Catarina Moda e Cultura). The Flower Lamp is a sensory lighting concept designed to support autistic children in developing reading habits through emotional and tactile engagement. While the concept was developed by my friend, designer Vinícius Mondini, I was responsible for translating the idea into a realistic 3D product, optimizing proportions, usability, and structure for a more feasible and accessible result. The final lamp combines soft textures and gentle form to create a warm, calming reading experience.

Challenges

The original concept prioritized emotion and imagination, but needed refinement to become functional as a real product. My role was to adjust technical proportions, propose assembly improvements and ensure usability, while preserving the visual and emotional essence of the concept.

Achievements

• Delivered a complete 3D model and render that helped visualize how the lamp could work in real-life production.

• Enhanced usability by refining lamp structure, scale, and surface detailing while keeping the design emotionally engaging.

• Supported the winning presentation of the project by providing high-fidelity visuals and helping align concept and functionality.
